Meet The Coach: Dave Penny

BOXING & KICKBOXING COACH

David Penny has been coaching since the 1970s. He began his career in athletics as a karate instructor. He has also taught hockey, soccer and baseball. In the early 1990s, David opened Bridgewater Boxing and brought amateur boxing to the South Shore. In the late 1990s, he began teaching competitive kickboxing and took students to provincial level competition.

Over the past 25 years, he has taught boxing and kickboxing at the recreational and competitive level. David stepped away from the ringside for a number of years, but, due to great demand, he currently trains a number of boxers who are competing. David’s current club Dave’s Multisports, offers both recreational and competitive boxing, in addition to recreational kickboxing classes.

David continues to offer personal training classes and speciality classes by request (such as self-defense classes, group workshops, and lessons at schools and other facilities in the South Shore).
